Description:

A large-scale exterior mural celebrating the monarch butterfly as a symbol of transformation, resilience, and shared responsibility for the natural world. Installed along a busy Madison corridor, the composition traces the monarch’s life cycle from egg to winged migration, inviting viewers to pause and look more closely at the quiet miracles happening around them.

During installation, neighbors stopped to watch the mural take shape, ask questions, and share their own memories of chasing butterflies as children. Designed to be both immersive and uplifting, the mural encourages curiosity, conversation, and care for pollinators — turning an everyday wall into a moment of wonder for the community.
